Yikes I think you might have something there, although I don't want to go back and re-watch it (bc I'm the PP who happened to imagine that kind of scene with my own family about a week before watching this, so I was a sobbing mess the first time)  But PP, go back and watch it as you might be right.  Although I'm not sure they'd want to lose that actress...[/quote]

This is a debate on Facebook fan sites.  On one, the moderator claims that Yes Studios did not intend for it to be ambiguous (but acknowledges that it is) and that the intention was for a happy ending.  Some fans thought they were doing it because they can't afford Shira Haas in Season 4.  I took it as a happy ending.  There are recurring themes in the seasons and it all felt similar to Lippe and Giti's internal struggle/repentance clearing the way to their children's happiness.[/quote]
