DS should follow up with a nice email to the admissions official he's assigned to saying that W&M is his first choice, and he will attend if offered a spot. W&M typically makes good use of its waitlist because it is a perennially second-choice school. (I say this as a proud and happy alum.) But by all accounts they accepted a lot of students from ED this year, so maybe there will be less waitlist movement than usual? There's really no way to know.[/quote]
