People lie. That's life.  It has nothing to do with Trump.  Instead, don't give him a reason to lie.  Stop being passive aggressive and expecting an 11 year old to be mature enough for 100% honesty.

Rather than asking, "Did you go over your screen time?"  Be upfront, "You exceeded screen time so now you need to put your phone away for X amount of time." or "Now I'll apply screen limits automatically. I'll remove them when you are ready to self regulate."  That's parenting, holding your kids to the rules without setting them up for failure. [/quote]
