Not take down like secretly plot against them, but take down like she wouldn’t fit in and flee. They basically said she didn’t seem like she had the personality for dealing with the protocols of the family and the crazy media coverage. It’s difficult enough as it is for someone already in the aristocracy, forget about a person with the baggage of a prior husband, estranged family and a career. And of course it looks bad on everyone when suddenly someone flees because they can’t take the heat. So they expressed their concerns but ultimately it was Harry’s choice to proceed with the marriage.
