This is OP. I dont know how to post pics.... but here is the layout...

1) Its a family room. One wall has shiplap and tv in the middle. This is the wall that the sectional couch faces. There is a window on each side of the tv.

2) The largest wall of the room has three windows that are all touching each other, like attached, but could be individual window treatments. This wall looks out onto backyard.

3) There is then a sliding door out to the back yard and a nook type area that is part of the room but off of the family room....currently a playroom, eventually   a sitting area with a table probably. This area has a single window on one wall and a double window on the wall next to it. This area of the family room is directly off the kitchen.[/quote]

I think any shade option discussed would work, as long as you pick a light, neutral color and nothing too busy or fussy. You just have to decide if you want light-filtering or privacy. If light filtering, then I'd probably do a roller shade and go for the minimalist approach. If privacy, I'd probably do flat roman shades. [/quote]
