I love college football and this IS my team.  I am disgusted by everyone involved.  I'm not disgusted, however, with the students who are on the team now, who don't deserve the national excoriation they are getting for the cowardice and vileness of the university's administrators.

I am happy that the BoT belatedly began to clean house.  I may be a huge fan of PSU, a former fan of Joe Paterno, and a supporter of PSU athletics (not just football), but I think that [i]everyone[/i] involved has got to go.  The sooner the better.

When I think about how much I used to respect my alma mater, it is enough to bring me to tears.

All I can say is, I hope that PSU can recover.  In the same spirit that makes THON happen every year, I hope the PSU community can come together to help create awareness and support victims of this enormity, and help to prevent sexual abuse from happening to other children.  I think that trying to help others is always the best way to heal.[/quote]
