My SIL a teacher with an accommodation. She moved in with us, so that her kids would have safe childcare so she could teach uninterrupted. If she had stayed home, she would have had the kids interrupting her teaching etc . . . It literally makes no difference to her students, so she wouldn't be in the classroom either way, so why wouldn't parents want her to make the choice she did? How many others would jump at the opportunity to work from elsewhere and have a monitor cover the class? FCPS shouldn’t be paying for that. The monitor should be used to cover for someone with an ADA accommodation. [/quote] How would you know whether your teacher has a reason to stay or not. ADA information is protected. My students certainly don't know why I won't be returning to the classroom. [/quote] I know because it is a co-worker. She isn’t my teacher. She teaching from outside of VA. Thousands of miles outside of VA. The monitor is being placed so she doesn’t have to come back to VA. Sorry if I wasn’t clear. [/quote]
