I have a college freshman on campus right now. Agree that it isn't ideal, no parties and many classes are on line. But he is very happy he went, is having a college experience and not living at home. He has new friends and likes college. It's not the same, but this is his time. He is glad he didn't defer and prefers this on line high school last spring.
Mine too but I’m not sure I can stomach paying for mostly virtual classes another year. It’s a dilemma. Why is this full price.
We decided to have him take his online classes at home second semester. Saves 6k on room & board. My son was not getting a real "college experience". He was in his room with a roommate he didn't care for. No real activities once it got too cold to sit outside. It's not worth it right now. Hopefully next year will be different.
