I don't get why boys do this? I mean you can literally see anything you want online at any time. Why does he need a photo of HER. Have you talked to his parents? Do you have an older cousin or young adult friend who might be able to talk her through this?
Is it really that difficult to understand? Obviously it's more arousing to have an erotic picture of someone you actually know as opposed to a random woman from the internet.
I think it is more than that. It is about power, control and subjugation. They may not know that’s why they do it but that is why.
That is stupid as an adult you should know the difference. Would you rather have an intimate conversation with you spouse, or a random cam person/chat. Picture, videos, text are all a form of communication.
Making it sound like the sender of the photos is the victim. smh. They have a choice, don't send it. Have self respect. Don't let someone have the "power".
Of course, but we have all known people who don't. People who are insecure, have been emotionally abused by parents or family members, or are seeking affection, are more likely to send pictures when asked, even when they don't really want to. It's kind of like peer pressure, but more so. This thread isn't about adults sending pictures. We're talking about a 13-year-old who doesn't have the capacity to make an adult decision and may have consequences from her actions - legal and otherwise - far beyond what she could imagine.
Stop making excuses for these young women and then blaming the young men. They know what they are doing. Raise your children correctly and this won't be happening.
