Deal breakers would be: gluten free, no (or limited) vegetables, and/or very low/middle class midwestern palette (casseroles, meat/potatoes, imitation cheese, canned soups). Being with someone who likes a wide variety of food, lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, ethnic foods, new recipes, new restaurants, is not all more fun and enjoyable for both eating and cooking, but is healthier for you as well.
My DH was like this when we married in our mid-20’s. Barely ate any vegetables or fruits. Through the years though he has greatly expanded his palate and will eat any cuisine and most foods and flavors. My in-laws on the other hand continue in their ways.
