I mean it’s mind boggling that indoor multi-family gatherings are not meaningfully restricted. Hard to enforce but that’s really where the spread is.
You don't know that, at all. It's much more prevalent in multi-generation, multi-family dwellings.
Where people have to work, every day, in exposed jobs. Pretending that spread within families has nothing to do with job safety is just disingenuous. I understand why locking down businesses is so hard, since those families affected have little safety net right now. But pretending pandemic spread is mainly the fault of individual choices and that a business pause or lock down wouldn’t help is BS. Congress is failing us. Has failed us. Completely.
I'm sure that no one wants to hear this, but if the choice is between living and dying, shouldn't we be recommending that families with extensive public exposure, especially multi-generational households, have everyone wear masks inside the home as much as possible?
Yeah, I live with an essential worker. I wear a mask in common areas but he won’t. Maybe if the government recommended this he would.
My MIL is elderly with many health issues and very high risk, and my SIL (who lives with her but goes out to grocery stores) wears a mask when they are in the same room. Lol. There is nothing- absolutely nothing- that would convince me to wear a mask at home. If you're that scared, then you should move out. Maybes trying to scare you away already.
