Hasn’t been left out, picked over...[/quote] I think you’re taking the term “leftover” way too literally. It’s simply food that was cooked but uneaten, kept to be eaten another day. It’s not necessary for it to be brought to the table, pushed about by spoons, etc. [/quote]
