How many times?  Why did each end?  How does he speak about his ex? The answers to these  will likwly halp end your crush... if they don't do the obvious thing and stop going to lunch and happy hour with him alone.  If you have to go out with a group , ( unlikely given the pandemic, and numbers rising) leave early, heck you can use numbers being on the rise again as an excuse, you want to limit your risk as much as possible.

I tried the crappy husband/dad line of thought. Turns out (at least from what he has told me) that isn’t the case. I’m inclined to believe him based on what I have observed.

Also, I was hoping he was a republican (very possible given his background). That is dealbreaker for me. It was a big surprise when we started talking politics and I learned that was definitely not the case.  [/quote]
