I would argue it is not fun to listen to them, because I'm never even sure if the stuff they are telling me is real. People who always have to "top" what other people say are often liars or at least exaggerators. It's like a weird version of crying wolf. If every time I talk to you, you have some absurd anecdote that just happens to be thematically similar to whatever I'm talking about but also somehow "more", then I'll assume everything you tell me is a lie and that you are actually the dullest person on Earth.[/quote]
