[/quote] This. I think a lot of the qualities it takes to become rich are the same qualities that make for family dysfunction. There is a lot of narcissism among the rich and people don't understand sometimes the kids are just pawns expected to behave like perfect accessories. When they don't, there is hell to pay. You assume rich parents shower you with money. Often they do not. Sometimes they shower you with abuse, guilt, fear and a whole lot of other crazy and too often because they are rich they are immune to consequences. This is not to compare it any way to abuse that occurs at other SES levels, but there is absolutely tons of dysfunction and crazy among the rich. I liked how the TV show Shameless showed the rich families were as bat shit crazy as the poor ones, they just used money to cover it up.[/quote]
