Yes, the 2027's are going to be interesting to watch this fall. I believe that the new coach from BLC is an assistant, not replacing the incumbent head coach. But in any event, with the influx of BLC players, the prior poster's analysis will remain accurate, probably even more so - the top 16 players on the Capital roster ....
The BLC dad will be the de facto head coach. He made a deal with Cabell to bring those players. They will all get more playing time than the pre-existing players regardless of skill.
Nice theory, but the rosters do not indicate any special treatment for the BLC players. I counted 17 new players, and I know at least two who came from places other than BLC. Four of the 15 or so BLC guys are listed on Capital only; six are Warriors (rostered on both teams); and five are DMV only. Having watched most of the practices, it is fair to say that 4 of the new BLC players deserve to be on Capital, and I assume those are the four taken. So it does not appear that the BLC coach had unfair influence on the first round of cuts. They will probably cut the 25 down to 20 before the first tournament, so there will be some disappointed returning players, but it is hard to blame that too much on the BLC influx, because there are only four of those players on Capital. But in any event, 15 players @ 5,000/year = 75,000, plus the helmets, uniforms, clinics, etc. I sure hope that Cabell is taking this BLC guy out to some nice dinners, Caps games, or something.
It costs 5K per year for Madlax?
