Agreed. I'd rather max as a 15 at the fed with a pension, and presumably maybe even at an agency that aligns with one's interests than work in Tech, not have job stability, no pension, just got 50k more? Am I missing something?[/quote]

Say you work for an agency that aligns with your interests like the EPA or CDC or NIH or CBP?  Questionable directives comes from the White House “leader.”  Do you stay or do you then leave as it no longer aligns with your original ideals?  Or do you just ride it out for stability as most govies and compromise your initial civil service ideals as you grow inconfident  to transition to the private sector?[/quote]
