I actually skipped second grade in a small, independent private school forty years ago. Why second and not first? No idea. I was fine academically but woefully behind socially. It was painfully obvious in middle school and high school. I would think with social media things are much worse now and navigating the various platforms requires a skill set I would have lacked. I wouldn’t do it for my kids but in the interest of full disclosure, no one has offered.[/quote]
