People recommending IKEA things: Take a look at the website! EVERYTHING is out of stock! EVERYONE is trying to create a nice learning distance set up for their kids right now, but some people started earlier than OP (and me!) and bought everything. We ended up getting this little black metal desk from Home Depot https://www.homedepot.com/p/OneSpace-30-in-Rectangular-Black-Computer-Desk-with-Keyboard-Tray-50-1001/302997522?cm_mmc=ecc-_-THD_SHIP_CONFIRMATION-_-V1_M1_CA-_-Product_URL&ecc_ord=WM14635413 Is it ideal for our decor? No. But we can make it work for his distance learning, which is (hopefully) temporary.
With IKEA you have to stalk the site and call their 800 number. They get stock all the time. You may have to wait a week or two for things to be replenished. I would also not order IKEA online ever. I believe their delivery times are now sometime in October. If you really want the IKEA stuff you need to go to the warehouse and get it yourself. I just got both of my kids desks from IKEA. They are just fine and will do the job. Added bonus...they are huge. For what it’s worth, my kids are eighth grade and high school.
