Even the URL has the word "Draft" in it, implying it's not actually the final plan. 2 weeks to go -- when will they have a finalized plan?
“The Board of Education will vote to approve a final plan on Tuesday, August 25.” https://www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/reopening/
Yikes. Finalizing a plan 3 business days before school starts? How is that fair to all the people who need to implement it? The BOE is setting them up for failure.
The general timings will probably stay the same. There may be small changes.
As a parent, my anxiety stems from the reality that I will have to implement a portion of the plan, with no training and almost no notice, for children at 2 different grade levels while working full time.
. I should add I have a K. Same. same. How are we working parents supposed to plan and notify our offices of those plans when we don’t know!

Just take a deep breadth. Everything will be fine. Trust me. The fact that you are anxious means that your DC’s education means a lot to you, even though it’s DL. This means that your DC will pickup on that and he/she will focus on learning. As an adult and a parent, I’m sure you’ve overcame much more difficult and stressful situations before. Again, you and especially your DC will be fine.
Thanks for this perspective! I think my anxiety is less about DC's education, and more about the uncertainty of what our schedule is going to be like in the next 5 months and how DH and I can effectively juggle our own schedules on top of helping out our kids.
You’re welcomed. While I understand your situation, but there are people with much bigger problems than we have such as single parent, lack of English comprehension, bad financial situations, etc. Either way, God Bless everyone and let’s hope we get out this situation safely.
