Vienna resident here. Sounds about right. My neighborhood is business as usual with younger children running around together, sharing scooters and playgrounds. Yesterday, a group of about 10 elementary schooolers played in the bed of a neighbor's truck ...while the parents stood around and talked.
NP. Bunch of kids practicing baseball at Southside Park today, late afternoon. Couple of men coaching, a woman conversing a few feet from one man about what sounded like her role doing something for the team. Zero masks on anyone except one of the men. Why are kids' ball teams allowed to be operating right now? Maybe these idiot parents are convinced "kids don't get the virus/don't spread it if they do get it/you can't catch the virus outdoors" and all that debunked mythology. These things are why the pandemic will go on and on.
Masks aren't required outdoors. Sports are permitted in PHASE THREE. You all sound completely insane.
We should not be in phase three. That's completely insane. It's amazing how people cling to the states telling them certain phases are fine, when the reopenings drive increases in cases. You're all just looking for excuses to do what you like and damn public health or your "weak" neighbors and relatives who have the gall to be concerned or have chronic conditions.
That's just your opinion. We are in stage 3 for over a month. This is the law. You might not agree with it, but we have to follow it. People are not looking for excuses, they don't need them to justify their legitimate activity. I personally respect my neighbors who due to some medical conditions (including anxiety) prefer to stay in the lock down stage, but i have no sympathy for people who judging others and demanding that everything was locked down because of their fragile selves. And by the way, there is no proof that re-opening drive increases in cases. We are testing much more now, therefore, there will be much more positive results. Have we not tested, the number of people who are positive would be exactly the same.
