Right? What is with the current trend of not respecting private property if it’s because the kids are young? People have no issues with picking berries, cutting through yards, climbing trees, not following house rules?  Then if the neighbor has a problem with it the neighbor is the one who is wrong?  I don’t get it.

+1. My elderly mom is dealing with this issue now. A new neighbor decided it was fine for her 10 year old DS to ride his bike and scooter on my mom’s driveway. Kid smacked into her garage while on his scooter. My mom heard the sound and came out to investigate. Kid was not hurt. My mom told him that this is her driveway and he is not allowed to play on her driveway or in her yard.

Kid ran home and my mom got an email from his angry mom saying that 1) her child is to be respected and spoken to in a calm voice and 2) my mom is never, ever to speak to her DC ever
