I find stories like this one so intriguing. Did your friend ever speak of feeling any guilt? Was he afraid to fly after that experience? I think being in his shoes would haunt me just knowing how close I came to dying. I obsess over things like this. Even though it was a gift for him, it was kinda of a double-edged sword.[/quote]

He was lucky.  The people on the plane that crashed were not lucky[/quote]
