What a completely sexist thread on Melania. We elect a President; we have expected his woman to come aling and work for the US People for free for 4-8 years. That’s nuts. Nobody elected Melania, and the USG doesn't pay her squat. So, as far as I’m concerned no First Lady should feel obliged to show up at the White House. If Bernie were President and Jane wanted to keep practicing medicine (or bankrupting colleges) in VT for 8 years, that’s her choice. Women are no longer free labor at the disposal of their husband’s employer. And if a man’s job endangers his family (whoever they might be), they deserve police protection. And if that man is the president, doubly so, because their safety or endangerment can be a pressure point on a president. And, please, stop calling her a wh$&@. She’s demanding that her contribution to the marriage and family and her efforts on behalf of him be fairly valued and that her child be treated equally to his half-siblings. Not unreasonable demands. Signed, A Trump family hater who voted for Her.
That's nuts. We expect first ladies to not have any paid employment because we realize there is no way that the wife of the sitting president hold outside employment and NOT receive preferential treatment or be treated fairly at all. Not to mention that the protection to which they are entitled would create massive pressures on their employers or customers. Yes they deserve safety, and that's why they have the whole building at their disposal that can guarantee safety. It's called the White House - maybe you've heard of it? As for the whore business - eh, I think their marital arrangements are their own business. But it's not unreasonable to say - Melania, you weren't really a model (as no evidence exists of your modeling) and you didn't come to the U.S. till 26 or so; you didn't meet Trump till 28 or thereabouts, so how exactly did your bills get paid? We all know pretty girls without rich families or jobs, and it's typically not a secret where their daily calories and shelter come from. Know what I mean? It's not unreasonable to guess at what she did to keep the train moving.
