Did you read the article or just the headline. Cases are up because testing has significantly increased. The positivity rate is still below 10%. The fact that people can’t understand the nuance of this situation is why we are having so many problems.

Yes, cases will go up when you open up. That’s not a surprise or argument to stay locked in. Locking in early slowed the cases to avoid overwhelming the health system. It wasn’t going to kill the disease. We are likely going to lose many more thousand of people not matter the option you choose unless you lock down until there is a wide-distributed vaccine. Protect yourself and others when you go outside. Elderly should avoid contact. And we will do the best we can. But most people can’t just stop the world and shut down. [/quote]

I believe it is the result of lacking of a qualified national leader. Everyone just create their own metrics and interpretation.
