Seriously, this is basic First Amendment stuff. You know, the part of the US Constitution that has said

[i]Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.[/i]

since 1791.

Maybe, before you left DC, you should have spent some time outside the Newseum (before it closed), reading these words engraved on the building.

The Courts have upheld limits on constitutional rights during a pandemic.  This is pretty basic.
