Episode 1 was pretty bad. Nothing was that compelling to stick around for more episodes in my opinion.

I don't think this is true.  I'm white and I watch Shahs and Texicanas and now Family Karma, and all of the Housewives except Jersey.  It's more about the formulaic structure of the show than the ethnicity of the cast - Bravo has trained us to watch all of these structured semi-reality shows and at this point I find them soothing.

I will say that there's a chance FK never gets as good/juicy as the others because the parents are so closely involved - I think the participants are on better behavior because their parents will be in the confessional when they get asked about arguments and fights.  That's why the parents' disagreements are more entertaining thus far - they have no one chastising them for talking shit.[/quote]
