Not OP, but I'll tell you why, which you should know because you have a DCUM-IQ and income and set of values, I can only assume. They are social distancing because they have to. Everybody is teleworking and home right now, and APs wife might notice if OP went and canoodled with him. Or if he went out without the family.  OP's husband would notice the AP boning OP on the couch, or if OP went out for a couple of hours.

Everyone is not working from home or quarantined or locked down or sheltering in place. OP and the AP should be just fine lying to their respective spouses about having to go to the office or the store and then meeting up. OP and the AP should be just fine exposing their spouses and families to disease risk and resulting disruptions. Never bothered them before.

Not really. OP said she was missing her AP who she saw at the office because het office shut down.

I understand that you might think that all people with an AP have zero values, but just because they have one AP doesn't mean they want to sleep with everybody, or would not want to abide by social distancing norms to contain the virus.
