https://nypost.com/2020/03/03/nyc-lawyer-with-coronavirus-in-severe-condition-health-department/ The Manhattan lawyer hospitalized with coronavirus is in “severe condition,” the city Health Department said Tuesday evening.
It's worse than this. When he went to the hospital in Bronxville, they had no clue he had coronavirus. Also, one son is at Yeshiva, and he has signs of coronavirus and test results are pending. Four schools in Westchester are closed. He took Metro North to work for a week while sick without knowing (a crowded commuter train). Into midtown. He's in intensive care. And he had no travel or known exposure to anyone with coronavirus. My parents live five minutes from him. I just posted about them. Anyhow, if you had to compare the NY geography to NY, I would say that he works near Metro Center, he lives in Bethesda, and his kids go to school in Silver Spring. Everyone in between those areas might have (or not) been exposed to him. It's very troubling.
Not quite. NYC area is super spread and commute time8distances are much much greater. I would say that it is m ore like from Metro Center to Baltimore where he would live and his kids would go to school in.. hm.. Laurel? maybe. Because to get out from NYC to even White Plains takes forever, while you can hop on the metro here and in under half hour you are in Bethesda, even faster by car with after hours traffic. Upper Westchester is even worse. Having said that.. this is horrible, So sad for him, so sad for his family. It is devastating. If he only knew then he would not commute and expose others, unlike people who know and are in isolation and knowingly sneak out like the person in Vermont. He is totally a victim of circumstances here. I am so sorry for him. I hope that he will come out of this without any issues but he needs lots of prayers now. It is sad that sick people have to keep working because the work pleasure and work environment is such. Ha But aside from that,
