Here we go again.  Same story as the Loudoun 06, 05, 04, 03, 02, 01...1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 years ago.  Take a look at Loudoun 06 vs. FCV 06 aor Loudoun 05 vs. FCV 05 (the last two of this commentary).  As the teams age, the talent leaves Loudoun and goes elsewhere.  Until that stops happening, Loudoun Dad's perennially wrong opinions are worth exactly nothing.

The only common opponent found for 07s is Penn Fusion DA.  Loudoun lost to them 2-1.  FCV plays them soon.  However, FCV is at the top of the U13 DA Atlantic standings above second place Penn Fusion.  So saying "there are probably only a couple of girls on FCV who could make the Loudoun roster now anyways.  The tables have turned."  seems kind of absurd and arrogant.  [/quote]

And don't forget FCV is in first place in their DA division in 07, 06, 05, 04, 03 and 02/01.

Loudoun standings starting with 07 - 1st, 8th, 7th, 6th, 11th(last), 7th.

It simple is not that hard to be on top of each division in DA. The teams in this division that are in the DA are week at best. This was proven when FCV went against ECNL teams in scrimmages/showcases and either tied or lost. ECNL has better competition, hands down. You want to be called the best FCV? Play ALL the ECNL teams in the DMV at each age group and put your money where your mouth is. The secret is DA won’t allow it. They have to much to lose. DA is full of hypocrisy and FCV is sitting right on top of that triangle. Simply put that club is not that good nor is the teams but anyone can look like a superstar when you are going up against mediocrity.  [/quote]

FCV has scrimmaged 2 ECNL clubs in the past month...and won most age groups easily. There were some tough age groups. Even a broken clock is right twice a day!

ECNL Mid Atlantic is the we[u]a[/u]kest in ECNL.

Nobody has said that FCV teams are not good. What has been said is that moving forward with 07, 08, 09 and on Loudoun will retain their talent they used to lose in the past to FCV. This is already proving true. FCV ID session numbers are down form years past and Loudoun players on their top 07 and younger teams have remained in tact.

FCV is no longer a destination club it is a simple as that. Does that mean their teams will not be good? No, but it does mean that they will no longer be able to just sit back and wait for the talent to stream in at U13 and U14 like in years past.

But what goes around also comes around. It also means that kids who have been in FCV's system, as long as they are starting will not likely move either but Loudoun has a much, much deeper player pool to pull form and establish depth. FCV traditionally built depth by bringing in top talent pushing players to the bench and without many other showcasing options those players stayed and sucked it up. But now with all the DA and ECNL clubs around it is almost impossible to have a deep and content/happy bench as in years past. [/quote]

True to some degree. I'm hearing players across many teams either looking or planning to look this spring. They want more PT. Only a few on each roster play every game all game, a very few.
