DCPS "promised" to announce the SWS swing space before the lottery deadline so that parents can make informed decisions.  However, DCPS has broken all trust with SWS parents so far.  So at this point,I wouldn't be surprised if they don't announce until after the lottery deadline.

Also, it should be pointed out that Brent is slated for modernization a year after SWS yet already has a SIT team and architect on board.  SWS, which is scheduled for modernization in four months (they claim they will start as soon as the kids are out of the building this summer), has NOTHING yet.  No SIT, no architect, no swing space. This is all so strange.  I'm ranking SWS for the lottery.  As I recall, you can tweak your rankings (but not the school selections) for a little longer after the lottery deadline, but that's really asking people to pay a lot of attention.[/quote]
