I hear what you're saying.  But unless you're super rich and super snobby, you're not gonna think that way.  My Ivy League educated law partners, for example, "get" UVA and would be happy and proud to have their kids go there.  They'd be sheepish about a CTCL school though.  They definitely wouldn't be proud.[/quote]

That's an odd sentiment.   Big law partners generally don't care that much about college - if you want to Harvard undergrad and then a step down for law, all they care about is the law school.  Period.[/quote]
