Just add a huge personal property tax rate on cars valued over $20k. Make it proptional, so the rate goes up at the value increases. A $25k might be $500 annually, whereas a $30k car would be $1500, and a $35k car would be $3000, and so on.

Car tax is based on the value of the vehicle and sales tax is based on the price paid.  Latinos or the massive infusion of 1st TPS then illegal immigration essentially altering composition of schools and need for social services?  A population block that mean Virginia as a state needs to wake up and realize NOVA can NO longer afford to support ROVA.

Current Tax Rate: $4.00 per $100.00
Tax Relief on first $20,000.00: 50.3%

At the 4 rate $7000 car owned for 12 months pays $139.16, If that old car is replaced with a 22000 it's 477.60.  
Loudoun's rate is $4.2 and Fairfax's is $4.57.

The state comes up with the 20,000 and the car tax relief %.  So if you have an old car that works well it's best to keep it running.  VA could increase car tax relief.  [/quote]
