Shepherd is a portal for middle class kids, many black but some white, to get into Deal. It is not a portal for low income kids to get into Deal. Create a second viable middle school for high SES earners and then use the extra capacity to actually get low income AA kids into those schools, something that is not really happening today.[/quote]
