If that’s true, consider giving an inexpensive gift for your sibling and spouse and spend less on niece/nephew so you aren’t being inconsiderate buying 1 gift for their family when they have to buy 4 nor or you setting the expectation with the niece/nephew that they will always get an expensive gift from you. It’s a slight different situation but my DH’s uncle by marriage would send us $100 for Christmas and say it’s for us and something for our kids. Every year our kids were shocked Uncle Larlo knew exactly what to get. We always gifted ourselves something from Uncle Larlo gift money and used $25-30 for each of our two kids.[/quote]
