How can alcoholics manage to keep their jobs and function day to day for years? I thought it's not a static disease. Shouldn't it progressively get worse? [/quote]All I can say is that it depends on the person and what kind of work they do! My brother functioned well enough until he got disabled and couldn't work any more and then he went swiftly downhill.[/quote]
