I would have thought they would have put Arlington and Loudoun (the two strongest teams in the field) on other sides of the bracket.  But my guess is they will play two games and then A1 will play B2 and B1 will play A2 in the semis with the winner of each moving on to a championship.

I think that matters because I've seen lots of tournaments where two closely matched teams play twice, and it is almost always a split decision, so the order in which you play matters for who ends up champion.

If they do play A1 v B2 and B1 v A2, I am going to guess Loudoun plays Calvert and Arlington plays McLean with Loudoun meeting Arlington in the final, which I think is a pick'em given that it will be the second meeting of the two...

It’s a pretty mismatch tournament. Looks like one top flight team Loudoun, two second/third flight teams Arlington and McLean and a bunch of lower flight teams in the top flight. The tournament seems to think McLean is better vs Arlington. Both did not do well in their last tournament. The results will be interesting with McLean having the most to gain.

Why would Loudoun, McLean and Arlington play this tournament? There are better tournaments in November.  McLean and Arlington need points for Jeff Cup placement. You will not get many points here.

Makes no sense. There's much better competition at the BPC. Maybe its Loudoun, Arlington, and Mclean's best chance to win a tourney. All 3 are excellent teams and all stand a good chance to win at BPC also. Please don't rehash the field situation at BPC. All the games are on turf this year.[/quote]

I saw Loudoun and Arlington play at wags. There were much better teams at that tournament vs those two teams. BPC would have been a better tournament if you are trying to pick up point. Both McLean and Arlington need points. Just do not know if either team would have a chance to win the top flight. BSC on the girls side does not place their own teams in the top flight of that tournament. [/quote]
