The new 2-tier DA system is not worth it for 2nd-tier teams such as VDA and potentially Arlington. They should get out.
I don't get the complaints. They make sense based on club performance, and iter 2 still plays tier 1 if it's within their conference. But it makes for more evenly matched games for everyone. When VDA starts blowing out all the competition it faces (or Arlington, whichever), then that's worth talking about.
The complaints are related to travel. Richmond and VDA will go to a Florida 4 times this year.
I guess, but when you sign on for national league teams, you sign on for travel.
The division has always been in the mid atlantic. The da informed clubs on July 31 that they’d be traveling to Florida for league games. That was not expected.
You are exaggerating. People, go on www.ussoccerda.com and see the schedules for yourselves to make an informed decision.
So is "going to Florida" mean you are in the good tier or the weak one? Just because you don’t like the information doesn’t mean it’s an exaggeration.
I like the tier system. It makes sense. It's creating more level matches. The only whiners I hear are on this forum. Everyone I meet is happy with it. So like other things on this forum, you may be an outlier. I have no reason to think otherwise. If a club wants to change tiers, improve performance.

Difficult to do with that sort of travel and expense.
