Not just Indians, but anyone traveling from a culture where "squat" toilets are common such as North Africa, the Middle East and southwest Asia . That sign placard is very common in Germany, I'm guessing because of the increase in foreign-born refugees from various places [/quote]
I have lived and traveled all over Germany, as recently as last year, and have NEVER seen that sign there. Nobody in North Africa or the Middle East squats on toilets. What are you talking about? [/quote]
I was last in Germany last October and yes, those signs are everywhere. At least in southern Germany. The funniest one I saw was at Neuschwanstein gift shop. The sign is on the back of every stall door in the ladies room. [/quote]

+1, these signs are all over Germany. And I can confirm with absolute certainty that the position in the "don't" picture is common in the ME and it's not racist to say so. They think OUR method is gross. And the missing piece of context is that their toilets are often much, much lower to the ground, like a hole in the ground. If you doubt it, buy a ticket to the Amman airport and observe that some of the toilets are western style and in stalls right next to them are the holes.

It's only racist if you start with the premise that their method is gross. But over in ME countries, I have been asked TWICE! if it is "true" that we sit ON the toilets and, even worse, wipe the poo away with paper and don't wash. They think THAT is truly disgusting.  [/quote]
