Laundering them constantly after each use is bad for the environment, honestly it would probably be similar to using paper napkins. Our toddlers napkin gets washed very frequently because it gets pretty messy since he eats a lot with his hands and gets food on his mouth. But DH and I? Our napkins are pretty much spotless after most meals. We use cloth placemats too. Gosh if you are this much of a germaphobe what do you do with sponges???[/quote]
