Demi has every right to tell her story as she sees fit. Ashton probably wanted everyone to think he left because of her dependence issues but it sounds like he was a pretty bad actor in the marriage. Too bad it will reflect badly on him and expose his prediliction for alternative lifestyles.
She was a 40-year-old alcoholic who hooked up with a 27 year old. What did she think would happen? Ashton is the same age now that she was when they married. Except he is a lot more settled and successful.
I agree with the bolded. She already had the whole marriage and kids thing. It wasn't very mature to think a 27 year old wouldn't one day want that for himself too. Then he grew up and did. I feel bad for her, and she's certainly entitled to her pain, but she wasn't looking at this from a very reasonable perspective. It's great that Bruce is there for her, but I can see how Ashton wouldn't after she made a huge public deal about being devastated and victimized when he left. It looks like he's doing the right thing by keeping things professional but not too close. It wouldn't be kind to get too close to her. She needs to heal and move on. It's sad because she obviously had a horrible childhood full of abuse and neglect. I hope she finds a way to make peace for herself.
I haven't read her "tell all" and, tbh, I am not interested in reading. If she is now claiming that Ashton was a bad husband that is rich. Demi always had the upper hand in that relationship - she was leading that kid around by the nose. She was with him because he made her look and feel young and like she still had it going on, it was ALL about her. She was VERY high maintenance. Honestly, I think Bruce was a saint for putting up with her BS. I'm glad both men have moved on to happier lives.
Ok Mila
