Sorry, but the Asian-Americans are the only group that is upwardly mobile through their merit and hard work. Their hands hold neither the whip nor the begging bowl.   They are also away from the batshit drama of the White, Black and Hispanic crowd.  Being one of the first groups that was exploited in the railroad industry and then interned in WW2,  they are used to other races being jealous of their progress and coveting and looting the wealth that they create.

That one phrase "Asian-American" is doing an awful lot of work there, covering EVERYBODY from Chinese immigrants on the railroad in the 1850s to Japanese-Amerians during World War II to all of the different groups from South and East Asia who have come to America in various ways (legal immigration, unauthorized immigration, refugee status) in the 50-odd years since the passage of the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965.

I will note, also, that the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965 is a direct result of the civil rights movement.[/quote]
