This is precisely what I would expect to see here, and in Boston, and in New York, and in SFO, and any other area with insanely ambitious parents getting their kids started up the greasy pole. In other areas, particularly the southeast, it is more of a sports-focused mania -- Pop Warner and Little League in particular, and classic small-town bragging rights over who is a pitching ace or QB1. Just my opinion -- others I am sure will have their own.[/quote]
