You don't understand the law.

1. It's not new, it's been in place for years.
2. It's stronger against immigrants than what was in place before Obama.
3. The law states that police can not be used for civil federal work, that is the job of ICE. Just like the police don't do the same work of the FB I or CIA.
4. During Obama's administration ICE worked with major crimes to deport violent offenders but not for speeding. They no longer do because they are busy with raids.

This law protects witnesses from deportation not criminals.[/quote]
