IMO, southern preppy ppl wear more dresses and skirts and are more style-driven; they also wear more brighter colors and (lily-type) patterns.

NE preppy is oriented towards cold weather so more pants (denim or khakis) and cable-knit sweaters.  The color pallet is navy blue, hunter green and burgundy and neutrals that complement like camel. In summer they mix-in mid-blues and white.

uhh... No.  Not at all.  Reese Witherspoon irl is definitely southern preppy, not New England preppy, but classier than the Georgia sorority girl look.  Her character on legally blonde is a typical California rich ditz, who in no way encompasses or is demonstrative of preppiness.  You are confusing wealth with preppiness. [/quote]

PP meant Reese Witherspoon in real life is Southern prep and the Selma Blair character in Legally Blonde is NE preppy. [/quote]
