It's all about "correcting" the volume. If you're correcting it up, that's your right, even if someone else is in there. If you're correcting it down, that's your right, even if someone else is in there. If you're the one who basically wants an exception, and for it to be a different volume to how the staff would set it when they open up in the morning, then you need to do that only if everyone in the room is okay with it (or you're the only one), and you can't complain when someone new comes in and wants to "correct" it back to the default setting for the purpose of the device and room.[/quote]
