The player is also expected to pay for and participate in all of the district and state training and events. After all, if you can spend $7k/yr on ODP, surely you can spend $13-14k/year on odp. Benefits? It’s a stamp of validation that your kid is a pretty good player. A look for a youth national team? No way. On the boys’ side, your DS would have to move to the DA and, therefore, out of odp for that. The key question is this: are the kids in the odp region pool the best non-DA players in the state of Virginia? No way. [/quote]
