Have him grill on the weekends when it’s not so hot.
This is a good first step, OP. And to take it a step further, have him grill enough so you take care of the proteins for 2 meals during the week. When I grill on Sunday, I do whatever we're eating that day, plus enough chicken for another meal, and maybe pork chops/pork tenderloin for a third meal. In addition, I'll often make a big pot of soup on Sunday for a weekday meal. Nothing elaborate, just something to take care of of one dinner, with maybe some leftovers for lunch, or for the freezer. Point being, if he wants to, he can certainly help. It's having that desire/motivation that is the key. Oh, and it's a mortal lock that I work more than your husband does. That's no excuse. He can still help out with meals - it's just that he can't do it on weeknights. That's easy to work around.
