That is true.  And
John Roberts, Sam Alito, Anthony Kennedy, Clarence Thomas, and Antonin Scalia are especially complicit in this particular crime.

Their decision in Heller contributed DIRECTLY to this death.  Laws matter.  Decisions matter.
