A few years ago my then toddler son and I were in HD.  A leashes dog came up to him and at the time he was scared of dogs.  He crawled up my legs in order to get away from the dog.  I posted in DCUM about it and was told that I needed to train my son to get over his fear of dogs.  My argument was that my human child should be able to go into a retail store and not have to worry about encountering animals.   [/quote]

It's ridiculous.   A dog came up to my 1 year old and licked her face which made her cry.  I told the owner that dogs had to be leashed in that park and was told that he was helping my toddler toughen up so she would have no fear of dogs.    Some pet owners are ridiculously entitled.  If that ever happens again, I'm going to call the police/animal control. [/quote]
